And I'm trying to think of the last time I didn't feel like that, hmm pretty scary. Definately going back to last year time.

So whats the go?

Well straight up it has to be seperation from God. My Christian walk has been somewhat of a rollercoaster ride, extreme ups and extreme downs. So when its down... it results in the previous two blogs.

I think partly I'm working out who I am in Christ. Who am I as a person, as a friend, as a bible college student, as someone who is normal trapped in a disabled persons body. Someone who is Spirit filled yet level headed, someone who is not Charo enough for Pentecostals, and too Charo to be conservative.
Someone whos content in their singleness, yet dreams of future relationships. Someone who is friends with everyone yet am so alone. Someone who realistically wont get married, but yet doesn't know how to kill love.
Someone who is okay at most things, but not brilliant at anything to make a career out of it.

Thats part of the journey, we'll see how we go. Cheers to postive blogging in the future!

Hmmm reading back on the last blog and it was kinda full on. Well things are certainly a little brighter than when I last blogged.

College has started and its been so nice to get back in the rutine. Its been gold, particularly the intensive on Revelation, very very interesting. Strangly college (known as Bridal College) is a refreshing escape from the increasing epidemic that is 'coupling up'. Maybe its a matter of time, but the guys and gals from college seem to be able to be in a relationship and still enjoy other peoples company, or quite happy to be normal and not in a relationship, which my church is struggling with at the moment... Strange I would of had it around the other way.

Feels like that while everyone was single and wanted something to do I provided the ring around, and I put my hand up to have shindigs at my house, and now people have coupled up and its exclusive couple things. Not just a couple having a night on their own (which is by no means unreasonable) but 2 or 3 couples exclusivly hanging out together in all their couple goodness.

Jealous perhaps? Meh maybe, I'm not keen to hook up with someone, I'm just more miffed my friends have become everything they said they wouldn't.
Heck if all my friends are coupled up, maybe I should be looking harder, cause at least when I find the right girl...I'll have someone to hang with! (Sarcasim Factor =10)

Man I've gotta make blogging more fun and joyful... It'll get there, promise.

Well it could be the tiredness talking, but I feel completely substandard. As a leader, as a Christian, in almost every area in my life I feel like I'm no where near where I should be.

Where's that? Anywhere but here would be nice. I'm so frustrated!

I've been questioning heaps my Christianity. Not from a 'walk away' or 'backsliding' point of view... well maybe thats what they call it? Anyway, I've been questioning the very cheese and religion and lack of heart that seems to go along with every political and fabricated smile that seems to be Christianity at the moment.

People seem to be settling for less, and that to me is not good enough... And it's a journey that is not popular, and will not be preached from the pulpit.

I feel like if we do just enough, we'll get through to Heaven. But we don't have to care, we don't have to sweat, we don't have to be challenged!! We just rock up on a Sunday, present a smile and we're 'okay'. 'Your point of view is nice, but I'll stick to my way, its more comfortable there'
We seriously wonder why people move away from the church? I love my friends at Hillsong, and what they're doing. But they forget to mention they have the biggest drop out rate of all churches... Boy that's something to be proud of!!
Mind you its probably better than having the same people in the same church for their whole lives and not actually feeling anything.
Do you think the church is missing something here? I only mention Hills because they are seen as the benchmark.

But what am I saying?! I don't know. I don't have a solution. But I feel like I can't be real in my faith. I can't love God without a bad day... or two. I feel like I'm so busy looking after everyone else that I forget about me, and then I feel guilty about that... I mentioned me!!! How dare I!

I wonder whats the point. And I'm sick of being substandard. A hypocritical joke! This is not good, I'm feeling like this at the START of the year, after having a "break" from things. (Yeah heaps nice break). Its not good. How am I gonna be in a months time? When I'm burned out and even more bitter? (Can I get more bitter)? I've turned into every wheelchair steriotype I've ever hated. Bitter... Maybe thats inevitable.

Oh well I last a couple of years... Yep I'm sure its the tiredness.

Well it has been 3 months almost to the day since I last blogged.

Any audience I did have will certainly have lost interest... Which means I can now treat this as more of an online diary, where I can actually say what I think/feel without sugar coating it.
Ok here goes...

Yep...

Any minute now...

Feel the wrath...

I feel like just going away for awhile. Getting in a car, not caring on where I'm going and just take off. That would be cool. "Why would I want to do that" my logical side replies. But it would be nice to be able to hit the "pause" button, step out of my body and have a holiday... From me, let alone my life.
Hmm interesting start.

Wow its been a month since last blog. How very slack I've been!

Well let's see if I can sum up September in a blog shaped nut shell -

I had my birthday! I'm now the mature and responsible age of 22. Super number that. Had a traditional family feast of Chinese food. Mmm food. Got some clothes and books and heaps of nice goodies from friends.

There's been lots of hanging out with friends. Lots of Risk and Cards. Lots of me not winning!! Lots of me seeking revenge!!

Lucy took an unexpected trip to hospital with a pretty bad camping accident. She's had some pretty bad burns to her legs. But hopefully will be out of hospital soon. She's been amazing! Just the way she's gotten through this has been awesome and a real tribute to the big dude up stairs.

Its been an up and down month for me spiritually, personally and physically. Lots of questions being asked of myself, my faith and where I feel God has called/calling me. Been a tough month to say the least, but hopefully at the end of what promises to be another tough month, things will look up.
Even despite it being tough, God's been faithful through it all.

Anyway got to go and have dinner. Ciao for now

Saw this mad thing on the MTV music awards. The one classy thing I saw.
Anyway there was a chick who had her arm bitten off by a shark! She's like 15. And she's a surfer. Anyway within a month she's back out there with one arm surfing. Unbelievable! Her arm was like taken from the shoulder too.
Anyway she got an award for most couragous or something and when she got up to speak she said something along the lines, 'with courage you can do anything. Well I draw my courage from Jesus Christ, thank you'. It was so humble and just awesome infront of so many of the trendy people on tv. She was the best testimony. So full of joy despite losing her arm and stuff. It was awesome. Praise God!!!

How cool is God?!

Preached today in Chapel and it was so much fun! God gave me such a peace and confidence whilst speaking. Totally felt at ease. 5 mins before speaking I was packing it. Got the traditional extreme nerves.
But it was awesome, and hopefully timely to the guys at College, and I total believe God did His thang there today.

Bit of relief on my part. Can take it out of you mentally/spirtually/physically.

Only got the trivia night to go on Friday, then things should be a little normal for a little while. Nothing serious so it was good. But it made me realise how amazing technology can be. Lying in a futuristic looking tube getting my brain photo taken (they didn't find much :P). Pretty amazing to be able to see your brain on screen. Makes you wonder what the future does hold.

Think about 2000 years ago, the writers of the Bible would of had no idea of some of the issues we face today. Because it was literally beyond they're comprehension/imagination. With that frame of mind, what would be beyond us now? As in, if they look back in 2000 years (if we're around that long) what would they say about our society and the 'how did they live without ..... ?'

What a cool weekend to report!

Firstly, a big congradulations to the Sydney Wheelchair footy boys who won the series on Saturday arvo against the Frogs.
The boys played the most amazing game of footy I've seen. Cleaning up the French by a big margin. GO AUSTRALIA!

Then without time to lose, I was off to a beach mission meeting. It was great to catch up with lots of old friends and meet heaps of new ones too. It was basically a meet and greet type of meeting so it was very laid back. Lots of laughs and HEAPS of inhouse jokes that will live on for all time... well at least a couple more weeks.

Hmm well by request by Stef, I'm to talk about what kinda girl I'm gonna marry. I think she was hoping for a 'who', but since I can't answer that one cause I don't know, I'll go with the 'what I'm looking for'.

Maybe its best to quote DC Talk on this one - Que rap position!
"Well I'm looking for a girl who's virtuous
Cause God laid it on my heart to search for this
So I open up the word to the book of Proverbs
The 31st Chapter tells me all about her
'Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting'
A woman who fears the Lord she ain't playin
here what I'm sayin cause I'm sayin it clearly
she's the kinda girl I got to have near me"

few key areas - Good sence of humour, Awesome Faith and heart for God, Is fun, joyfull, passionate and yeah... thats about it I suppose. I mean... after all it is just sport yeah?
But its fun, and something to watch and follow on tv.

Hmmm what to say? There's heaps going on, but my mind isn't going with it. Have nothing profound to say.

Wait... no....... wait! no its gone... nup nothing.

I'm trying to decide where to go on holidays next. I'm heading to Rome(?) I think it is for the next world cup in 2007. So I'll go somewhere after that, but where? The states would be cool, just to go somewhere that speaks English and has sporting type appeals. Canada has relatives, and is just an amazing country.
Or I could be adventurous and go somewhere cool and interesting. I'm already in Europe, so maybe somewhere around there. 1 thing I know, I'm not going to England or New Zealand!!! Unless there is a large amount of cricket involved.

God Bless!

Wow!!! I just found out that one of my friends from college who is in chapel band with me is the new lead singer of 'Speaking of Sarah'
She's very humble and cool about it, and she has an amazing voice!

http://speakingofsarah.com/ Check out their website. I also found out that they're playing Big Exo Day which will be awesome!

Pretty challenging at college at the moment with Ethics and Sociology. But God's challenging me heaps... When I actually understand whats going on!

Am dying for an awesome, super soaker, worship time with the Lord. Am feeling a bit dry and flakey. Would like to go to church or chapel and not have to do anything. Don't think I'm on anything this Sunday! YES! Thanks God!

My friends played the French at wheelchair footy last night. Tops game! Way better than Quad Rugby (Murder ball). Anyone interested in coming along and seeing a match come along to Kevin Betts Stadium, Mt Druitt next Monday night at 7pm.
There's also a game on the following Saturday at Castle Hill. Its very exciting to watch! Our boys have only been playing a month compared to 3 years worth by the French guys and girls. And we only just lost the first match 22 - 18. Nice!
We even got a write up in NSWRL.com http://www.nswrl.com.au/index.cgi?det=1&intArticleID=313&sID=27

Anyway thats about all at the moment. St George have not been beaten full strength for a long long time. But we turned up positive and gave it a go.
They got the early try to go ahead 4 - 0, before we hit back with a grubber that was cleaned up by lil' Andy who put his body on the line many times in this match.
8 - 6 was the half time score their way.
They then got out to an 18 - 6 lead after we let in some soft tries. And with the score at 22 - 12 we thought it was all over with 4 mins to go.
But we came back after a great try to Andy again collecting a PB 3 for the match. Then off the kick off Mick B kicked it out and we got the scrum feed. From this, I put up a kick that fell right into Geoff's arms and with 1 min and 30 secs to go it was 22 - 20. Unfortunately Mick missed the all important kick for goal.
We got the ball back with 20 seconds and it was just enough time to put up a 'hail Mary' style play but it was to no avail.
A great effort from the boys who were heavy underdogs and stayed positive the whole game and gave it a go. Was a great match to be a part of, lots of fun. The refs did a great job and everyone was happy. Rugby League was the winner on the day.

It was all a bit much for Mick B at the end who felt the full responsibility of missing the kick and burst into tears. Know the feeling! But it was a tops effort all round

Next year boys!

Good night at indoor last night with the boys having a super win with some help from 'Jeff the umpire' helping us out who turned out to be an awesome player! Well done boys. Few of the boys overcame some injuries to play last night.

I'm feeling better than what I did on Sunday, thank God it was just a 24 hour head cold thing. College was good today, although I struggled to stay focused. Just one of those days where playing soliteire on the laptop was too tempting.

Hmmm what to have for lunch?

"The Lord is merciful and compassionate;
he is patient and demonstrates great loyal love." - Psalm 145:8

Well I don't know if its feeling sick that does it, but it always seems to go hand in hand with feeling down.
I totally believe the body on the spirit effect one another, and if the body is sick so is the spirit and vice versa.

I think its only a 24 hours bug thing.

Good weekend - hung out with the crew last night. All were lots of fun and very successful for their week back from holidays.
My classes for college are awesome, I have mad topics (Christian Ethics and Church and society) which I'm loving already.
The work load is heaps but in a format that I quite like... no exams!

BS was good with the crew getting together, lots of cookies eaten and coke drunk as we began to tackle the second part of Luke's writting ACTS! Fun! I can't wait to get more into it.

YG was awesome we did some theatre sports, which gave us all an opportunity to make idiots of ourselves, which I feel is an essential part of youth group.

Hey Liz, read your blog, loved your thoughts, remind me to blog later another time from the blokes perspective. You'll geniunly find most of the time the bloke has the same fears. Anyway...
Got my wheelchair footy grand final next week, gonna be tough but I think we're an outside chance. Their a great team and we're gonna need to be at our best. Hopefully we'll have fun

So there we have it the latest update from the wide world of Foxy. Sorry nothing contraversial or even really that personal, but I'll be sure to blog in the near future.
From all of us here at Michael's computer... its bye for now

Well its been a while since I've blogged.

Been on holidays from college so things have been very casual and bludgey in the last couple of weeks.
I went to Hillsong last Friday night which was awesome, lots of cool music and catching up with friends. One of the best things about going to hills is seeing lots of old friends that you haven't seen in ages.

Had an awesome night at church last night, Man what a night!!! It was tops! We had quite an exciting night.
It was going along like a good ole Sunday night. The worship was tops, God was doing his thing, and it was just a good night. When half way through the sermon (we had a guest speaker) these two people who were sitting up the front dressed like hypies stood up and said they had a word from God and that she was a prophetess etc. At the same time another shaggy looking bloke got up from the back and started to walk towards the front. Anyway our pastor got up fairly quickly and said 'no this isn't the time etc you can't interupt' and stuff.
The woman sat out the front and started preaching about how we were all going to hell, and that women shouldn't cut their hair short and a whole bunch of other stuff. So the guest preacher asked the congregation to pray. So we all started praying in tongues and stuff as the elders of the church tried to get these guys to leave.
Then our worship leader (who did a tops job) got up and lead a song, so we all stood and just ignored what was going on and Praised God! It was the best!!!
Just before the bloke left he started to say something else after the song, so spontaniously the congregation quietly started singing 'My redeemer lives' and got louder as he got louder.
We called the police and aparently they're familiar with this one guy inparticular and he goes around with his friends and disrupts church services.
Our pastor came back in and said 'wow, how cool is it that Satan considers us worthy to disrupt our service!' :) But our pastor also said that legally they can't do that because this is a registered service and a public event that they have know right to disrupt.
We had some cool discussions about prophets and stuff, and how there's a right and biblical way to go about it, and basically they did everything wrong so we had no doubt that they're just a bunch of misguided people.
So we were all pumped and stuff, some people were pretty shaken up but cause it was kinda full on. Nothing like a bit of spirtual warfare! I loved it!
After that our guest speaker got back up and delivered the rest of his amazing message. And we worshipped and finished up.

Myself and about 10 other guys all went for pizza in Parra followed by ice cream. All in all a fantastic full on night. I loved it!

What I loved most about it is that we say our church is great blah blah blah when times are good, but it was great to have a bit of persecution and spiritual warfare and see our church as a body of belivers step up and handle it awesomely when times weren't so good.

Praise God!!!

Bible Study was last night and it went really good, we had a smaller number than usual for the end of term cause people are away etc. But it was nice and intimate. We had candles going and communion, it went off, and we did feet washing which was great. The two other blokes in my bible study laughed like school girls when their feet got washed, funny as! The best part was the fact that the water was nice and warm and was great on a cold winters night.
We finished early (which was my plan) after some worship and had an ice-cream run. Twas tops.

Got the blokes coming over tonight for cards and hanging out. Going out for a bite to eat with all the gang should be fun. We got her tickets to a concert... Hmmm I can't remember the name of the lady, but I know mum will like it.

All night Matchrix session came and went with little sleep and lots of fun. Although it sent me back a week regarding jet lag. Just starting to get my head around it now.

Lots of driving lessons this week. Had one today and didn't do tooo badly. But have had better. Stupid tree ran right out in front of me :P

I'm praying to God about a major thing at the moment. I'm waiting for a response, a sign etc etc etc. I'm hoping for a yes, but either way I'm just hoping for an answer. Ahh matters of the heart, man its confusing!!! (Wow that was a long sentence) Been all round bludgy. Been thinking about doing something productive but decided against it... ah for the greater good.

Been thinking that I've been kinda negative lately. Just in conversations and stuff. Not noticably, but I've noticed, think God's saying stuff to me... Like don't be negative! Even if its jokingly negative, its still negative.

Lozza, liked your thought about prayer and stuff, and I reckon God would rather you to hang with him and chat about the little things then nothing at all. Think I'm just starting to return to my normal self. I found that in everything this week I've been a lot more aggressive in things I've done. Mainly just competitive stuff that normally I wouldn't get fired up for. But because the comp overseas was so intense, I've naturally still been fired up from it. Kinda weird and a little out of character. But I'm slowly like I said returning to my normal self.

Nothing much planned for this week, hanging out with Simo and Dave today. Simo has a new guitar so that'll be sweet.

Bible Study on Thursday which I can't wait for, and on Friday we have a huge Matchrix lockdown for Bible study. 12 hours straight of pure gaming mayhem!

Last couple of days have been pretty hard. I think its post trip blues or something. Partly cause physically I've just been so trashed but just all in all I've been feeling kinda low. Hopefully this week will pick me up a bit.
Think I just need to be around encouraging people this week. The trip had a lot of negative characters as well as some absolutely champions but it just added to the intencity of the trip, and I just can't stand or have the patience for negative people at the moment. Mainly cause I'm struggling, but yeah its all good. Good times ahead.

;)

Hey Hey!
Well I got back yesterday from a fantastic trip away. It was awesome! But it was just as good getting home in Oz.
Where to begin!?

We started off with a few days in Hong Kong, we spent up big with the prices very friendly to the Aussie dollar. We saw the harbour and explored around Kowloon Peninsula it was pretty amazing.
We then set off for Paris, which was fairly long flight. Unfortunately we only had 2 full days in Paris. Paris was just amazing! The one place we went that I would fully recommend to people to go. The buildings and history and just everything about the place was great. We went and saw the Mona Lisa which was cool, it was like seeing a celebrity in real life, kinda weird. We went up the Eiffel tower too, where there was a bomb scare. But because I couldn't get down in a hurry (we're up on the second floor at the time) We stayed and it got cleared pretty quickly so we kept on shopping. Good ole Aussies... nothing scares us! :P
The view from the tower was beautiful, we had great weather there. I'll try and post some pictures later. (Any hints on how to do that guys?)

We were then off to Helsinki where we met up with the rest of the team and stayed in a fairly... (crappy? dodgy?) Cosy hotel. But it was great. All the boys were pumped and excited to be there in one piece. We had a training session about 2 days before the comp and it was probably one of our best ever, so spirits were high.

After acouple of days of sight seeing and cobblestone streets (Wheelchairs aren't great on cobblestone... quite amusing for everyone else though :P)
We headed off to the school where all the teams were staying. We stayed in class rooms with beds in them, despite having 7 people in a room, it was pretty good accomodation. The first 24 hours people weren't overly friendly cause all the competitors had they're game faces on. And the build up was quite nerve racking. All the boys were feeling it.

We had the opening ceremony and we got to walk out (drive out) in the green and gold and stand together as one, it was pretty amazing. The comp was very well planed and it was very professional. There was even cheerleaders and music and even a mascot to pump up the crowd!
Our first game was against Germany who are ranked 2nd in the world. Just an easy game to start off our international careers :P
We started off great, the game was faster than anything we could of expected. We stayed with them and with about 10 mins to go we had made a comeback to 4-2. But we made a mistake and they pounced and won 6-2. We were pretty happy with that, we needed a game to get settled. But as I say, it was fast as! It was like we had played 3 games not one.

The next day was our highlight. We came out firing against a determined Denmark who we beat 8 - 2. We gave our bench a good run that game and they did us proud. I played the first half, and got man of the match with acouple of goals and an assist.
That night we played the home team and 3rd ranked Finland. Who with a home crowd of about 400 people were going to be tough to beat.
I got Captain for the Germany game, and it was given to another bloke for Denmark, but I got it back for this game so I was pumped to have a good one.
We were the last game of the day on a Saturday night and there was a big crowd. The biggest any of us had played in front of I think.
We got off to a dream start scoring 3 unanswered goals in about 5 mins! We were pumped. They then replied through their star player who was 55 yrs old and an ex ice hockey rep player who hit a lazer beam past us to score.
They then staged a comeback and with ten minutes to go in the game it was 4 all. I don't know how I kept going, the tension was huge and before the game I felt like I was out of energy but Praise God he kept me going. It was the most enduring sports game I've ever been a part of. Everyone in the stadium could feel it.
with a minute to go the ball was hit down their end of the court and two of our guys chased it up, the Finland player brought it around the goals only to be met by both of our guys who stole the ball, got a no look shot behind him to get it in the corner of the goals with just 28 seconds to go!
5-4 the score! We pulled the only upset of the tournament and everyone was now seeing what the Aussies can do.

In the comp, everyone had better chairs, more experience, more skill... But we matched them on spirit and enthusiam! We made the semi finals for the next day, but the guys on the starting line up (myself included) were just tired as! We had never been so tired in our lives, and we had to back up and play the finals the next day.
The first semi we got smashed by the very professional and strongly sponsored team of the Netherlands. 18-2 was the score. The scored 12 second half goals when we gave our bench some court time and us some much needed rest for the bronze medal game.

We played the Italians for 3rd place. And boy they played hard! They were very physical and certainly got us fired up that way. Unfortunately we didn't get the start we were after and after 5 mins they were leading 3 nil. But for the rest of the game it was an arm wrestle. We threw everthing at them...including our wheelchairs! :p But we couldn't break them. We just had nothing left in the tank. We went down 4-1.

The boys did an amazing job playing in a comp that was quicker and more skillful than anything we had ever played. To give an e.g. The Italians and Germans have comps that consist of 100 players or more. We have 26 players to choose a rep side from.
And we matched it with the best in the world!
We're now ranked 4th in world!!
And we know we can do better, but for our first comp for many of us, we were pretty happy with how we went.

So there you go :) I want to thank everyone for their support and encouragement over the last couple of months!

I'll blog some more a bit later. Bless yas!

Well this will be my last blog for acouple of weeks.
The trip is finally here, how sereal! It will be by God's grace that I get this done. I did recieve a big boost with an old college mate e-mailling his old essays and presentation on the exact same assignment topics that I'm doing. Ahhh if only we could plagerise... I'd be done!!!
Ok so thats not an option, but it will help me get my head around the topic and also give me some hints on how to set out things. I might still the occasional quote maybe from books that we both have that he's put in his essay.
Sounds dodgy...

The boys lost at indoor, they played well, but just couldn't play the mental game as well as the opposition failing to defend a total of 151.

They have a bye next week, so I might take the boys to go see TROY. Had a double training session on the weekend and it was pretty tough. The boys are realising that this trip is going to be tough and if we're to win some games, we're gonna have to be at our best.
On a brighter note, we found out we get Australian caps with our jersy number on each hat! Just like a baggy green. Pretty stoaked at that!
Also next week we should be getting our jeresies, team jackets, polo shirts the works! All the planning and everything is starting to come together! Only 2 weeks and 6 days to go.

I got a call from the very cool Kat & Gav from beach mission and they've asked me if I want to be in charge of worship at this year's mission. I'm waaaay honoured, considering I'm not the greatest singer, and I'm an average guitarist. But I love worshipping the Lord and He gives me all I need. But feels weird, I've never seen it as a ministry, only something I could do between me and God in private.
More prayer is required over whether to say yes. But my heart is in it for sure.

Mum's day yesterday, and my bro and I with a very special thanks to his girlfriend (who organised the whole thing) got mum a nice pair of gloves and a scarf.
Plus some reading material.

Youth on Friday night went off!! At the moment I'm hearing from everyone that their youth is going great. Last week we had like 15 kids, which compared to 4 weeks ago where we had 3, thats awesome for us. At this rate... :)
We're got a mad new vision and a great team behind it so its going from strength to strength.

Anyway I can't think of what else to write. God Bless.

Well been a few days since last post.

Weekend was filled with lots of sport. I had a personal best at wheelchair Rugby League scoring 5 tries!! But it was an awesome team effort. We had a point to prove after being thrashed the week before. So we came out and played one of the best games we've played in a while. 64 - 10 I think was the score.
Hockey was great, took us a while to get warmed up, but when we did... My goodness it was awesome!!! The whole team played great! It was only a training session but we feel we're peeking at just the right time for the comp on 4 weeks.
Everyone's getting excited, I can't believe we're going to Finland to represent Oz in wheelchair hockey. It blows my mind how God is just soooo awesome.
Something that would of seemed impossible, I commited that desire to play rep sport to God, and God made it happen. All in God's awesome timing.

College was back in full swing today, I'm a bit overwhelmed by two major Trinity assignments due in around 2 weeks with minimal work having been done on them. So I may not blog for awhile...unless I want to procrastinate...like now.

Ok here's the address for the Hockey World Cup website. Its got photos of all the teams etc. We're taking on the Germans, Fins and Danish in the round robin part of the comp.

http://wc2004.wheelchairhockey.net

Good day today, hung out with mate Pete.
Was a welcome break to my Trinity essay thats due. But, I found out I have an extra week to do it, so to celebrate, we went to the movies.
We went and saw Secret Window with Johnny Depp.

Have to say, apart from Johnny, there was nothing too great about this film. The plot was kinda obvious and the twist was stupid. But all in all there just wasn't enough depth that I'm sure would of been provided in Steven King's novel. Was entertaining I guess for acouple of hours.

I give it 5 out of 10. If it didn't have Depp... Probably 3.

Okay gotta go to Youth, should be a good night watchin movies.

Blogg soon.

Check this out...

In Florida, an atheist became incensed over the preparation for Easter and Passover holidays and decided to contact the local ACLU about the discrimination inflicted on atheists by the constant celebrations afforded to Christians and Jews with all their holidays while the atheists had no holiday to celebrate. The ACLU jumped on the opportunity to once again pick up the cause of the godless and assigned their sharpest attorneys to the case. The case was brought before a wise judge who after listening to the long, passionate presentation of the ACLU lawyers, promptly banged his gavel and declared, "Case dismissed!"

The lead ACLU lawyer immediately stood and objected to the ruling and said, "Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case? Surely the Christians have Christmas, Easter and many other observances. And the Jews--why in addition to Passover they have Yom Kippur and Hanukkah...and yet my client and all other atheists have no such holiday!"

The judge leaned forward in his chair and simply said "Obviously your client is too confused to know about or for that matter even celebrate the atheists' holiday!"

The ACLU lawyer pompously said "We are aware of no such holiday for atheists, just when might that be, your honor?"

The judge said "Well it comes every year on exactly the same date---April 1st!" Heartbreaking, but it was great to watch.
My friend Lisa (who's a legend!) came along to watch with me and I explained the finer points of wheelchair sport.
Finished up the day with lots of laughs and playing cards and old board games with my mates. Good way to spend a saturday night when you're broke and too tired to do much else.

I had some mad thoughts about marriage and Christianity, but it might be a bit long to post. Oh well here's the short version.
Marriage as we know it came about through Roman tradition. When Christianity became the state religiion of Rome, it also took on some Roman customs. This is cool, cause the way we do marriage is great and should be supported.
But Biblically marriage ceremonies aren't spelled out in detail. The bible gives us the foundations of loving one another and waiting on God, but in terms of ceremonies, how long engagements should be etc etc it doesn't. We get this information from our culture and society generally.
But now Rome is no longer the centre of the world, so should Christianity conform to the new Rome? What is the new Rome?
And over time, what effect will our 'new culture' have on our faith, marriage and other things?

Hope I explained that okay. Feel free to comment.

Yesterday night I hung out with the crew from bible study for a hang out and a session of cards. It was most triumphant as I won 500. I couldn't win a trick through Soul, so it was good to find some form.

Another beautiful day spent indoors due to mechanical failures with the ole chair, but now that thats all fixed up I'm off to the movies with Dave and Susan tonight. Not sure what we're seeing.

I'm stumped on whos going to win this week between the dragons and the Roosters... if anybody has some insight I'd love to hear it :)

Going suit shopping for Dave's wedding on Sunday, as I'm best man. That should be fun I hope, so longs as we choose good suits that look swarv. It should be fun all the same. Even though the wedding is in December I think they're the only couple to have most of the wedding organised with more than 6 months to go! hahaha I love bagging him out about.
But good on them for being organised.

Anyway can't think of anything else, so peace out and God Bless.

Well a pretty good day all in all

Still catching up from Soul, had a major sleep in which was great!!! Then just chilled until my mate Simo came over and we had a bit of a worship.
We're giving it a go and writing some more songs. We haven't written together for a while, and we got one going that didn't sound too bad. But, we're learning patience with song writing, and we're just waiting on it coming together just right. But it was not tooo bad I guess. See what happens, when we finalise I'll post it

Had a meeting for youth group tonight, and it was sooo positive! We have a really great team and a really great vision and its gonna be tough, but its gonna be great!
Good things to look forward to there

Found out a couple of days ago that our hockey team has officially been granted rights to use the southern cross and Aussie coat of arms on our jersies for our trip to Finland. Which was the last hurdle to make us officially a team representing Australia.
How exciting!!!!! 6 Weeks and counting to the World Cup

Well I think I'm under way!!!
Need to work out how to do a few more things on here but oh well... with time.

A big hello to any Belrose people!
